LC by Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s

Do you all remember when Lauren Conrad’s collection first hit Kohl’s a few years ago? I love the way LC dresses, so I literally ran to my local store to check it out and I was so disappointed. All I remember is a black blazer and a few tops that didn’t look like anything she would wear. Well, LC’s collections have come a long way since then. Not only have I liked several pieces of her past few collections, but the collections offer so much more to choose from and it all looks like pieces Lauren would wear.

I’m going to my good friend’s baby shower this weekend and I’ll definitely be wearing an LC for Kohl’s dress. My only dilemma is which one! Any suggestions? I actually like the dark pink hi-low skirt and blouse combo. Shower appropriate, yet versatile enough to wear for other occasions.

Forever 21 has decided to design for their own brand, the Exclusive Design collection, and I’m pretty excited about what I see so far. The pieces, now available exclusively at Forever 21 stores and Forever21.com, include spring inspired bold brights anchored by black, white and blue basics. I’m loving all the affordable fall lookbooks that have come out so far. There have been so many. It’s nice to be able to preview a collection before it hits stores so that we know exactly how to budget our fall fashion dollars.

Which fall lookbooks have been your favs so far? I really like the Lauren Conrad for Kohl’s collection, but I think the Jennifer Lopez for Kohl’s and this MNG by Mango for JC Penney have been my fav lines so far. They are both fun, a bit edgy, and a little more age appropriate for me. That leopard dress will be mine!

Welcome to Fall Fashion Week at The Look For Less – everyday this week I’ve been featuring affordable fall style including nail polish collections, lookbooks, and designer looks for less. I hope you’ll keep checking back.

I’m loving the Simply Vera by Vera Wang for Kohl’s collection, but what I’m most excited about is the accessories (end of slideshow). I’ve never been crazy about the handbag or footwear selection at Kohl’s, but there are several pieces in this line that I would LOVE to pick up – both pair of over-the-knee boots are rugged and amazing, the leopard Mary Jane heels would look amazing with a simple black dress, the purple handbag because I’ve been looking for a purple handbag forever, and the faux-fur lined moccasins would be so comfy around the house. I also think the corduroy leggings would be so fun for fall.

Welcome to Fall Fashion Week at The Look For Less – everyday this week I’ve been featuring affordable fall style including nail polish collections, lookbooks, and designer looks for less. I hope you’ll keep checking back.

Of all the lookbooks I’ve showcased this week, I think that most of my fall budget dollars will probably be spent on the Jennifer Lopez for Kohl’s collection. This is another celebrity collection that I think will do well because I can totally see Jennifer wearing this entire line. What I like best about her style is that every detail of her look (hair, makeup, accessories, nail polish, apparel, and footwear) is always well thought out and flawless! She’s such a risk taker, and it doesn’t always pay off, but I LOVE that she tries. Most of the time I tuned into American Idol just to see what she was wearing lol.
