DIY – OrnamenTea Pearl Beaded Wrap Bracelet

I discovered OrnamenTea.com a few weeks ago and fell in love. It’s a one stop shop for jewelry and accessories DIY projects. They have so many amazing tutorials to choose from and for each how-to, they sell all of the ingredients right there on the project page. Not only do they showcase the materials they used, but they also offer up so many color and materials options.

When I stumbled upon their beaded wrap bracelet tutorial, I knew I had to DIY it. They used ball chain in their tutorial, but one of the other options was this beautiful gold and pearl chain. I wanted to run with the natural pearl theme, so I paired it with coral wax linen, natural leather cord, and a beautiful moss and coral bead.

I have no idea how we got this party started lol. I’m pretty sure it’s all Trina’s fault when she tweeted a link to a curb chain bracelet and 5 other bloggers, including myself, knew exactly what she was up to.

Since then, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have caught me tweeting with my buds and swapping ideas about DIY designer inspired bracelets. We were all so inspired that we decided to make bracelets and post all of our designs on the same day at each of our blogs – welcome to our bracelet party! I chose to make a Giles & Brother braided hex nut bracelet “look for so much less”. The real retails anywhere between $175-$250, but I put mine together for under $35! The Breakdown

I found a great tutorial for a hex nut bracelet over at Honestly WTF. I love their white and brass bracelet for summer, but I really wanted a season-less bracelet that more closely resembles the Giles & Brother hex nut bracelet with the blue wrap cord, beaded chain, and multi-size hex nuts.

The Breakdown

I can’t believe I published this video – my dorkiest ever hhaha! Most girls do first impression videos on lipgloss, but not me, I sprayed myself in the face with an airbrush spray tanner for the first time on video! No makeup, eyes closed, in the face with spray tanner, haha. Well, it is an authentic first impression, so I may as well have the nerve to share, right??? haha Remember the episode of Friends where Ross gets a spray tan? hhaha
