Druzy Jewelry Necklace Ring Earrings Blue Orange

5 Under $50 – Oh-So-Sparkly Druzy Jewelry

Druzy is popping up everywhere and I’m so excited about this trend. Druzy is a coating of fine crystals on a rock fracture surface, usually on agate. It comes in a wide variety of colors and is so sparkly! We found 5 pieces under $50 including necklaces, earrings, and rings. I’d never heard of Brooklyn Thread before, but they have a ton of druzy to choose from all under $50!

  1. Rachel Roy Blue Drusy Necklace – Macy’s $42.00
  2. Orange Druzy Tassel Necklace – Overstock.com $31.99
  3. Callisto Agate Gold Druzy Earrings – Anthropologie $48.00
  4. Silver Druzy Ring – Brooklyn Thread $36.00
  5. Purple Druzy Ring – Brooklyn Thread $30.00

What do you all think of the druzy trend? Is this something you would try?

The team over at Nicole Miller invited me to do a guest post for their new “nicole by Nicole Miller” blog, Nicole Daily, and I couldn’t be more excited! In addition to the blog, they also have a new website so that we can keep up with all the latest in their affordable fashion line sold exclusively at JC Penney.

For my guest post, Nicole Miller requested that I put together a few affordable holiday outfits, and no festive look would be complete without sequins, lace, and a little red nail polish. I hope you all will check out my blog post and let me know what you think. I’m BEYOND excited to be a guest editor for their new blog!

Classic Ray Ban Wayfarers Look For Less

Steal the Real – The Classic Ray Ban Wayfarer

I have to admit, I own the real (with credits from BeyondTheRack.com, of course) and the steal, and there is no difference other than the expensive label. I was on a major mission to find the sunnies Taylor Jacobson wore in every episode of The Rachel Zoe project, and come to find out, they were the Classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers also seen on Tom Cruise in Risky Business and Edward Cullen in Twilight lol.

The Ray-Ban Wayfarers come with a price tag of $169! The Retro Style Wayfarers from SunglassWarehouse.com are only $14.95, for a savings of $154 from the Ray Bans.

Beaded Wrap Pearl Bracelet

DIY – OrnamenTea Pearl Beaded Wrap Bracelet

I discovered OrnamenTea.com a few weeks ago and fell in love. It’s a one stop shop for jewelry and accessories DIY projects. They have so many amazing tutorials to choose from and for each how-to, they sell all of the ingredients right there on the project page. Not only do they showcase the materials they used, but they also offer up so many color and materials options.

When I stumbled upon their beaded wrap bracelet tutorial, I knew I had to DIY it. They used ball chain in their tutorial, but one of the other options was this beautiful gold and pearl chain. I wanted to run with the natural pearl theme, so I paired it with coral wax linen, natural leather cord, and a beautiful moss and coral bead.

What do you all think of this beaded wrap bracelet? Is this something you would DIY?

The products mentioned in this post were sent to me by the merchant or their PR company. All opinions are 100% my own.

Gucci Tassel Belt Look For Less

Gucci Wide Tassel Belt Look For Less

I’m sure everyone remembers Jennifer’s Summer Style Series, where she translated notable summer 2011 trends into head-to-toe looks for less, shopping with only one merchant and putting together outfits, complete with shoes and accessories, for no more than $150. Her first was the Gucci Color Block Trend which was a huge standout. I’m probably not the only one who saw celebs like Camilla Belle and Kim Kardashian rocking some variation of this look, and was so excited when I saw Jennifer’s look for less.

One of the key items in this trend was the Gucci Wide Adjustable Tassel Belt featured in their Spring 2011 collection. The braided ties are reminiscent of Ancient Grecian style, but the metallic leather makes it so contemporary. This belt has so much visual interest and could be a stand-alone addition to an outfit, or mixed with an array of other accessories.

The Gucci belt retails for $1,250. The steal is the Asos Metallic Tie Detail Obi Belt , which retails for $26.19 and is available in silver, bronze, and black with sequins. It’s easy to add this belt to most outfits because it’s flexible enough to be worn with a range of items like tunic tops, dresses or jumpsuits. I love having different colors to choose from and think all of them could be paired with any hue of clothing or jewelry.

What do you think of this belt? Would you try this look for less?
