Nude Heels For Spring - Get The Look For Less

Nude heels are a MUST-HAVE for Spring 2010. Rachel Zoe listed them in her guide that included 20 “not-so-basic” wardrobe essentials. I love how Kristin Cavallari legs look so long in her flesh-toned pumps and super short shorts. In fact, I plan on OD’ing on light neutrals, florals, and pastels for the upcoming season. Here are the 3 nude pumps that I’ve narrowed my selection down to, and I didn’t have to look any further than Zappos.com. I love that they offer free shipping and free (365 day) return shipping on all orders!

The first pair are the Catch Me woven leather pumps for $97.97. I think these are so on-trend right now; however, a nude pump should be a basic that can be worn with everything in your closet, so I’m undecided on this pair. The next pair are the Roxy cross-cut strappy pumps by Promiscuous and sell for $74.00. I love the platform and the covered heel on these pumps; however, they may be a bit dark to count as a nude. The third pair of pumps are the Love Me caged platform pumps for $70.50 (last seen in our L.A.M.B. Steal the Real), and I believe they may be the most wearable of the three. Hope you’ll help me decide – fashion over function, or both?

Fall Black Wedge - Get The Look For Less

The Breakdown

When the wedge started to emerge as a fall shoe, as opposed to the cork bottom colorful fabric upper we’ve seen in spring/summer, I couldn’t be more excited. The fall wedge is so architectural and innovative. This season is offering shoes like I have never seen before and the black wedge is a must have for fall. In working on this post, I thought I’d compile shoes from a variety of sources, but the wedges from Urban Outfitters were so amazing and affordable, I decided to look no further. Which pair do you like best?

Gold Coin Jewelry - Get The Look For Less

I am loving jewelry that is gold and chunky, and I especially love the coin jewelry trend happening right now. I’ve selected a few of my favorite necklaces, earrings, and bracelets… all under $50. The bib necklace is especially on trend and the Max and Chloe ring is kick ass. The best deal of the mix is the gold charm & chain dangle earrings from Forever 21.

  1. Ettika Gold Plated Disk Ring – Max & Chloe $38.00
  2. Coin Charm Dangle Earrings – Forever 21 $5.80
  3. Dana Buchman Gold-Tone Sun Coin Flex Bracelet – Kohls (was $30) $19.50
  4. Dana Buchman Gold-Tone Sun Coin Hoop Earrings – (was $18) $11.70
  5. Dana Buchman Gold-Tone Coin Y Necklace – (was $36) $23.40

Purple For Fall - Get The Look For Less

Purple is my favorite color for transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall, but not pretty, little girl purple. I love violet, plum, and jewel-tone purples. I just can’t cut off color cold turkey without feeling a little gray. My purple phase once consisted of mahogany/brown hair, deep purple smokey eyeshadow, and lightly purple tinted nude lip-gloss! It was more subtle than punk, I promise. Now I keep it to dresses, scarves, and my Nars nail polish in Grape.

The Breakdown

  1. Satin & Chiffon Ruffle Dress – Forever 21 $29.80
  2. House of Harlow Black Drop Earrings – Revolve Clothing $31.00
  3. Women’s Fringed Gauze Scarves – Old Navy $10.00
  4. Silence & Noise Open Shoulder Tunic – Urban Outfitters $42.00
  5. Silk Cashmere Sweater Tank – Spiegel $39.00

Just in time for Independence Day, Charlotte Russe unveiled their American Rebel collection. The looks are adorable, yet edgy and there are several to choose from. The above are just a few. Also, Charlotte Russe is celebrating the 4th of July with 20% to 50% off the entire site thru 7/6. As always, Charlotte Russe brings the style without the big price tag (all items are under $30). Trend Alert - Spring Florals

Spring is in the air and I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with floral patterns right now. But not just any old floral prints… no tiny rosettes on black fabric. I’m talking about big bold flowers in big bold colors.

What I love most about the “looks for less” picks above is that all of the flowers are a bit blurred around the edges. It looks as though they were hand painted onto the fabric using watercolors. You will stand out without looking as though you put any effort into stealing the spotlight.

Where to where: anywhere! We have finally found the affordable, wear anywhere attire.

  1. Hotsy Totsy Floral Skirt – Lulus.com $24.00
  2. Rampage Bad Girls Swimwear Top – Buckle.com $49.00
Rampage Bad Girls Swimwear Bottom – Buckle.com $49.00
  3. Little Impressionist Sundress – LuLus.com $79.00
  4. Garden Girl Racerback Dress in Multi – LuLus.com $31.00
  5. CoverGirl Outlast Lip Stain in Bit Of Blossom – Well.ca $6.91
  6. Flora Day Clutch in Saddle Brown – LuLus.com $28.00
  7. Daytrip Watercolor Dress – Buckle.com $32.00
  8. Unlisted Vip Lounge (Lime Green, Dark Brown, Purple, or Black) – Zappos.com $55.00
