This look for less is a reader request from my twitter bud @memesw. She tweeted, “@TheLooksForLess can you find the SJP/CarrieBradshaw white Halston look and do ‘the look for less’?” We’d love to! We found Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of “Sex In The City 2″ on the Upper East Side of NYC. This is 1st day of filming and Carrie Bradshaw is looking so hot in a pair of glittering Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels, a white Halston heritage dress, and a gold Chanel clutch.
My twitter bud @LindsayCullen17 asked for it, and we found it. She tweeted, “@TheLooksForLess I’m looking for this green jacket Bella wears in New Moon… Can u hook up a deal??” Not only did we find Bella’s green corduroy jacket, but several other New Moon items including her green birthday party dress, tee shirts, necklaces, hoodies, and the New Moon soundtrack on pre-order.
This is a must have for the Twilight New Moon premier. Go casual in this “I Kissed A Vampire & I Liked It” Tee featuring cap sleeves, crew neck, and a bloody lettering design graphic print. I love that it is a take on the Katy Perry, “I Kissed a Girl & I Liked It” song. Too fun! Get the Deal of the Week from Charlotte Russe for $10.
A few months ago, I blogged about the Gossip Girl inspired affordable fashion line that Anna Sui was designing for Target. On September 13th, the line was launched on Target.com and the entire collection sold out within 24 hours!
Luckily, I was able to get the few pieces above, but I want more! In particular, I need to add a bit of color to my “personal Anna Sui collection” (I love the way that sounds), and the blue Floral Metallic Jacquard dress is next on my “to-get” list. Target has restocked the majority of the the pieces and they do not expect them to last long. I cannot tell you how exciting it is to have an Anna Sui label in my closet at a fashionably affordable price. The first dress above is my favorite (resembling her high-end designer collection), however the second dress is Anna Sui and it’s silk… need I say more!
I miss getting together with my girlfriends to watch Sex and the City. The red wine and the stories you wouldn’t tell yo mama were flowin. So happy they gave us more sex with the movies. We caught Sarah Jessica Parker on the set of Sex and the City 2.
Did you catch the season premier of the Rachel Zoe Project? I’ve watched it 3 times since it premiered on Monday! I know I’m a bit obsessed, but she is Bananas. The premier featured Rachel dressing Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, and Demi Moore for the Golden Globes. Because of the economy, designers aren’t willing to ship dresses as a “maybe” option for a celebrity. With only one option per celeb, it has to work.
Of course, it can’t be that easy! Bring on the fashion emergencies. One day before the awards show, Eva’s Dior dress was shipped to Chanel and Cameron’s Chanel dress, that Rachel so bravely had modified, didn’t arrive until the day of the awards show! Here’s a look at the final result on the style stars. Catch the drama Mondays at 10pm on Bravo.
The September 2007 issue of Vogue magazine weighed nearly five pounds, and was the single largest issue of a magazine ever published. With unprecedented access, ‘The September Issue,’ directed and produced by R.J. Cutler, tells the story of legendary Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and her larger-than-life team of editors creating the issue and ruling the world of fashion.
The September Issue won the Grand Jury Prize for Excellence in Cinematography at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The U.S. theatrical release date is August 28th, 2009.

Previous Post: Anna Sui is designing an affordable fashion line for Target and we couldn’t be more excited. What’s crazy cool about this line is that it is inspired by our favorite fashionistas from the hit show Gossip Girl. These trendsetters represent Sui’s boho meets rocker style and it’s evident in all of the pieces she designed for Target. I’m so happy that designers are finally thinking about us recessionistas… possibly due to the recession? I’ll take it either way. Thank you Anna Sui for not discriminating against those of us without trust funds. As New York Fashion Mag online points out, Sui’s Target line is shockingly similar to her past runway shows, yet way less expensive… lucky us!
From Women’s Wear Daily: “I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers,” Sui told WWD exclusively. “I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target’s new take on designer partnerships. It’s a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around. It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific inspirational source as the focus.”
Sui’s line is scheduled to go on sale September 13th online at target.com and in about 250 selected US stores. Her collection – which combines “the elements of art, city, spirit, punk and glamour”, will be available until October 17. I am hoping to snatch up as many pieces as possible as soon as possible.
