JewelMint July Pieces Showroom

The Breakdown

The pieces above cannot be confirmed or denied until we actually see them in our July showcase in just a few short hours. The JewelMint Facebook fans did a bit of digging and found pages for each of the above pieces, so we can only assume (hope) that they will be included as part of the July showroom. Only time will tell!

I am most excited about the For Keeps Bracelet. Fingers crossed that it will be available for July and not sell out before I wake up tomorrow. The showroom debuts at 12am PST – a little too late for this JewelMint fan on the east coast – so I hope you all will save some jewels for me.

♥♥♥ Update – if there is a current Groupon available for JewelMint (they offer a new one almost daily for new members), then I’ll list it in my right sidebar under the JewelMint banner.

Modnique Looks For Less

The Breakdown

Update: And the winner is…. Kim R! Congratulations and we will email you shortly for your contact info. Entry for this contest is closed. Thanks so much to everyone that entered.

Previous Post: Remember those Rich & Skinny cargo pants I featured in an outfit post recently? I picked them up at one of my favorite sample sale websites, Modnique.com! We’ve teamed up with Modnique to give away a $50 credit to spend on whatever your heart desires from one of their events.

Why is Modnique one of my favs? Well, they do things a little bit different than the other sample sale sites – first of all, they offer free shipping on all US orders! If you’re anything like me, when you go to cash in those hard earned referral credits, it’s such a bummer to pay $10 in shipping and makes some orders not worth it. In addition to free shipping on all orders, they also have a 30 day hassle free return policy. One of the most exciting features of this site is their “unlimited” referral credits! When you refer a friend, you get a $15 credit when they make a purchase of $100 or more. When one of their friends makes a purchase, you will get a $10 credit. When a friend of their friend makes a purchase, you will earn a $5 credit.

Keep up with all of Modnique’s events by following them on Twitter at @ShopModnique or at our daily sample sale calendar.

How to win: (required – once) it’s simple. Sign up to Modnique.com so that your account may be credited if you win and comment to let us know you have done so. Membership is free and you will receive a $5 credit just for signing up! Entries must be in by midnight July 4th and the winner will be selected at random on July 5th. US residents only please.

Additional Entries:

Cameron Diaz Bad Teacher Chambray Belted Dress Look For Less

The Breakdown

Cameron Diaz looks amazing at the Berlin premier of Bad Teacher – that girl’s got legs for days! This entire look is so on trend for summer and it’s definitely an outfit I would wear! The double-belted blue chambray dress is so in style and I’m crazy about her t-strap cognac heels. This is the way to wear a simple look that makes a statement.

What do you think of Cameron’s style? Is this a look for less you would try?

Sally Hansen Beige Blast Creme Nail Polish

The Breakdown

Happy Manicure Mondays everyone! Chanel came out with 3 polishes in their Summer 2011 collection, two of which I duped the last two weeks – Chanel Mimosa, a beautiful shimmery creme yellow, and Chanel Morning Rose, a soft creme pink with gold micro-shimmer. With two of three dupes down, I thought I’d complete the collection with another look for less; however, their third color is a beige that I really didn’t care for at all. It is a super sheer watery looking beige, so instead of doing another dupe, I opted to do a bright creme beige with Sally Hansen’s Beige Blast.

I think this is the most simple color and manicure I’ve ever done for mani Mondays, which is a nice change of pace sometimes. If you don’t have the money for a French mani, or the skills to DIY, a simple blast of light beige creme nail polish is perfect for summer. Super light colors against summer skin make nails look so healthy and chic.

So what do you all think of Sally Hansen’s Beige Blast? Is this a color you would try?

Hermes Double Leather Wrap Chamonix Bracelet Look For Less

The Breakdown

The real, the sublime Hermes Rivale double wrap leather bracelet, is a smaller adaptation of our Hermes Collier de Chien steal and we think this size is perfect for spring and summer. The gold plated pyramid and ring detail provides just the right amount of edge for any ensemble. The simple black leather strap allows for limitless flexibility when it comes to incorporating this piece into any outfit.

The Hermes bracelet retails for $520. The steal is the Leatherette Wrap Bracelet from Forever 21, which retails for just $6.80. It’s available with gold hardware, in black, cream and brown and features a toggle closure. It would be great alone or layered with a watch, bangles and bracelets.

What do you think of this look for less? Would you get wrapped up in this bracelet?

Bags Bonanza Handbags Look For Less

The Breakdown

I just discovered Bags Bonanaza and it was love at first browse. I really didn’t know much about the site, so I decided to dive right in and quickly realized that it is very similar to Ebay, but better! Bags Bonanza is an online marketplace for buying and selling handbags faster, while having more fun.

The feature that I like best about Bags Bonanaza is “the obvious”, it’s all about handbags. Unlike Ebay, if I do a search for a particular type of handbag, I’m not going to get some sort of weird result from the housewares department. The interface is so user friendly – all the information I need is so easy to find and their search and browse features are super easy to use. Additionally, I know that they sell new and used handbags, but I didn’t see any washed up old handbags that looked like a purse someone couldn’t get rid of at a garage sale. I also feel protected with the seller ratings and feedback.

The super hot style right now is to accessorize with bright bold colors, so I picked a few handbags that are right on trend including a Mariposa Orange Pleated Satchel, the Big Buddha Yellow Shoulder Strap Tassel Handbag, a vintage Coach Soho Waverly Tote, a bright Green & Gold Envelope Clutch, and a beautiful Rebecca Minkoff Purple 3-Zip Rocker.

Interested in selling a handbag? Here are 7 great reasons to sell on Bonanza:

  • Free listings – It’s free to list on Bonanza. Yes. Always.
  • Low fees – Sold an item? You keep about 97% of the money.
  • Free distribution – Every item you post is sent directly to Google and Bing.
  • Free sales consultation – We have real humans available to help you sell, fast.
  • Checkout options – Use PayPal, Google Checkout, or both.
  • Bonanza-only features – Every store has built-in chat, customization available.
  • Relentless simplicity – We obsess over “the small stuff” to keep selling painless.

Versace For H&M Looks For Less

Subscribe – TheLooksForLess on YouTube

The Breakdown

We’ve got exciting news for Versace fans – Donatella is designing an affordable fall fashion collection for retail giant H&M to hit stores on November 19th. The most exciting thing to note about this collection is that she plans to base it on the Miami print made famous by her brother, Gianni Versace. The line will consist of a 40-piece women’s wear collection including apparel, accessories, and heels and a very sharp tailored 20-piece menswear collection, in addition to a few pieces for the home. The video above is a bit hard to understand with her accent, but it includes a few sketches and sneak peeks of what is yet to come.

What do you all think about an affordable Versace collection for H&M? Are you all as excited as I am to check it out?
