The Breakdown
This was such a fun manicure! I was looking for a base color a little lighter than the oh-so-popular “OPI You Don’t Know Jacques!” that I wear non-stop in the winter. I found this beautiful color by Color Club called High Society.
This was my first Color Club purchase and I was so impressed. They have a ton of creme colors to choose from, the color went on beautifully in only two coats, and their prices are so “looks for less”. I decided to do the fishnet Konad design using the white Konad special polish and M57 Konad image plate.
For a “how-to” on Konad stamping, please check out my video tutorial. I thought this was the perfect manicure for transitioning my nails from summer to fall. So what do you think of this look? Would you wear this manicure?

I love this color! I was looking for a lighter shade of you dont know jacques as well! you dont know jacques is lovely but it is a little too dark. I actually bought it because I wanted something similar to Chanels Particuliere but I soon realized that Chanels was slightly lighter and had slightly pinker undertones (opposed to o.p.i’s brown and gray undertones).
This is a great find and I love the look you did with it. Im definetly going to check this out now.
Btw- I would love to see you do a manicure on the couture 40s half moon manicures- I would love to wear this through fall. I remember seeing 4 pages dedicated to it in Junes Marie Claire but have yet to attempt it myself.
Great post!

I chuckled when I read Robin’s comment! The half moon manicure is definitely going to be the next big nail look, mark my words! LOL Thanks for the shout out :)
I have CC’s “Rebel Debutante” Collection & “High Society” is definitely one of my favorites!
I think your manicure looks flawless & so pretty! I have several Konad plates, but I have the hardest time getting the designs the way I want them on my nails. I’m going to make time to watch your tutorial! :)
oh girl, i had the hardest time stamping at first. i mean i was cussing for 3 manicures in a row until i got the hang of it hahah. the thing that worked for me was lightly buffing the stamper with a nail file so that it has a better grip. i didnt notice a change at all in the appearance of the stamper, but it did seem to grab the design a lot better. before it wouldn’t stick at all. also, dont press the stamper down too firmly on your nail because it will smudge the design. hope this helps and thanks for the comment :)
Oh wonderful! I will definetly be looking out for your moon manicure tutorial – actually Im really looking forward to it. Thanks manicure mondays twin! ;)
